Pearl jewellery can be easily scratched and you should take especially when storing pearls. 

  - To clean pearls you can use a new, clean makeup brush and warm soapy water to softly clean the pearls. Lay the strand flat on a towel to dry as the wet silk thread can stretch. 

  - Pearls that are worn often should be restrung once a year. 

  -  Pearls draw in moisture from the air and should be stored in a dry area. 

  - To prevent loss of pearls, have them strung with a knot in between just in case the thread 

    breaks.
